Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar called youths as warriors of digital revolution saying the government launched digitalization process in education to transform the youths into skilled human resources.
“We have started the journey of digitalization in education to turn the youths into skilled human resources to take the country forward”, he said.
The minister came up with the comment recently while addressing as the chief guest a certificate giving ceremony among successful trainees participated in ability
development training organized by Youth Empowerment Facilitation-Global through webinar, said a press release.
He said even the government has initiated work to ensure equal opportunities for all by removing digital division between urban and rural areas.
“We have already been able to turn around people’s life style to a greater extent for successful implementation of digital Bangladesh programme emerged from prudent thinking of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2008,” he said.
Students can turn impossible to possible if they are developed as skilled through training and providing proper guide, he added. The minister urged concerned private organisations including teachers and guardians along with the government to come forward to develop youth flock as worthy fighters of digital era.
The digital devices and high speed internet have now been a demand of educational institutions in the remote rural areas including primary students and people have engaged themselves in digital communication spree, Jabbar continued.
Dhaka University Professor Hafiz Mohammad Hasan Babu, President of Youth Empowerment Facilitation-Global Kazi Hasan Robin and Founder of CTO Forum Bangladesh Tapan Kanti Sarker, among others, attended the function.
