Youth’s legs cut by train in Natore

An Youth named Sohag (22) lost two legs after being hit by a train in Natore. The accident took place at around 4 pm on Friday on the railway platform of Natore. The tragic incident took place when the boy fell from the platform while getting off the Panchagarh-bound Ekta Express train.
Natore Fire Station personnel rescued Sohag and took him to Natore Sadar Hospital. After the first treatment, he was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Sohag is the son of Farid of Chanpur village of Natore Sadar Upazila.
According to railway police and eyewitnesses, the victim of the accident was a passenger of the Panchagarh-bound Ekta Express train from Dhaka.
The boy fell on the platform as the train slowed down at the Natore station platform at around 4 pm. Meanwhile, his two legs were cut under the train and separated from his body. Locals rescued him from under the speeding train. On receiving the information, the Natore Fire Station personnel rushed and took the injured boy to the Natore Sadar Hospital from the spot.
SI Abu Taleb of the railway police working at Natore railway station said that soon after the train entered the platform, he heard a commotion from the front of the train. At that time he was working in the back compartment of the train. He went to the spot and found the injured boy with his legs severed from the body rescued from under the train and placed on the platform. Later fire station personnel came and took him to Natore Sadar Hospital.
Railway station master Rezaul Karim Mollah said that the boy named Sohag fell down from the platform while getting off the train. Later he was sent to Natore Sadar Hospital.
The railway police rescued the accident victim from under the train with the help of locals. Later, the fire station personnel came and took the injured boy to Natore Sadar Hospital.
