Police recovered the body of a young man from a pond at Turokkhola village in Dakkhin Surma upazila on Monday noon.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Locals spotted the body in the pond near a primary school at Turokkhola village in the upazila and informed police.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
