UNB, Dhaka :
A youth was shot dead by some unidentified miscreants in the city’s Kodomtoli area on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Manik Miah, 30, a resident of Boubazar area under Kodomtoli police station.
Police quoting witnesses said Manik who came out from his house at about 12:00 am on Saturday and did not return home at night.
Later, his bullet-hit body was found at Afsar Karim Road under the police station at about 6:15 am, said Officer-in-charge of Kodomtoli police station Abdus Salam Miah.
He said Manik was allegeldy involved in illegal drug trading. The killing
might have occurred over controlling drug business in the area, the OC said.
The body was sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
