A youth was shot dead by some unidentified criminals at Bhaturia village in Sadar upazila of Jashore on Wednesday noon.
The deceased was identified as Imrul Islam 31 son of Nur Islam of Bhaturia village of the upazila.
The incident took place near a fish farm of the upazila in this afternoon.
The criminals shot at Imrul Islam in the afternoon and the bullet pierced through the left side of Imrul’s chest. Later, the locals rescued Imrul and sent to Jashore General Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead said Moniruzzaman the emergency department doctor of the hospital.
Samir Kumar Sarkar, Officer-In-Charge of Kotwali Police Station conform the news. The details information regarding the accident could not be known immediately. Being informed police men went to the spot. OC added.
