A mobile court in Shibalaya, Manikganj has been sentenced a young man six-month imprisonment for using drug. The convicted Sohail Mollah is the son of Jalil Mollah of Saheli village under Mahadevpur union at Shibalaya in Manikganj.
On Monday (June 14), Shibalaya Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Jasmine Sultana conducted a mobile court and sentenced him to six months imprisonment under Section 36 (1) 16 of the Narcotics Control Act 2018.
Saiful Islam, an inspector at the Manikganj District Narcotics Department, said the sentence was handed down after arresting Sohail Mollah, a drug addict, with six bags of heroin in a sting operation.
