A mobile court sentenced a young man to two years’ imprisonment for sexually harassing a housewife at Nishi Boira village in Belkuchi upazila on Friday.
The convict was identified as Abu Taleb,19, son of Almas Molla, a resident of Mukundagati Purbapara village of the same upazila.
Anisur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Belkuchi Police Station, said Taleb had sexually harassed the housewife at the village. On Friday afternoon, the local people caught Taleb while he was harassing the housewife and handed over him to the police.
Later, a mobile court led by executive magistrate Abdur Rahman handed down the verdict instantly.
