A customs preventive team arrested a young man along with 6.6 kgs of gold worth Tk 3.40 crore at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here on Monday night.
The arrestee was identified as Saikat, 25, a resident of Gauripur in Comilla district.
Assistant commissioner (Customs) Shahiduzzaman Sarkar said Saikat came here from Malaysia by a flight of Malaysian Airlines that landed at the airport around 9:30pm.
