UNB, Gazipur :
A young man was hacked to death by unknown miscreants at Ershadnagar in Tongi of the city on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Rasel,25, son of Selim Miah, a resident of the area. Quoting locals, police said a gang of miscreants attacked Rasel in the area when he was returning home at night,
Later, they chopped Rasel with sharp weapons indiscriminately and fled the scene, leaving him dead on the spot.
Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Shahid Tajuddin Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Police suspected that Rasel might have been killed over previous enmity.
A case was filed in this connection.
