A youth was hacked to death by unknown assailants at P M Khali union of Sadar upazila of Cox’s Bazar district yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Ayaz Uddin Sharadin, 25, son of Mohammed Hanif Sikdar of Sikdar Para of Totukkhali village under P M Khali union. Cox’s Bazar Sadar thana police recovered his body from Podakhata area paddy field near bridge .
Jasim Uddin, OC of Cox’s Bazar PS acknowledged the fact and told that Ayaz was a listed criminal of police. He was wanted in one more case including thieving, robbery and murder.
Police found a sharp knife on his head. His body was recovered and sent to Sadar hospital for autopsy. The law enforcers are trying to detain the perpetrators, he added.
Ayaz’s brother Saddam Hossain told that Ayaz was not a criminal. There was no case against him in any police station. He went outside from house after taking dinner on Monday.
Later, he was missing and his mobile phone was off. Locals saw Ayaz’s body in paddy field near Podhakata bridge area on Tuesday and then they informed it to police.
