A young man was killed after falling off the rooftop of a five-storey building at Shimrail Kandi in Brahmanbaria town on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Saiful Islam Bipul, 31, son of Helal Mia of Golachipaof Narayanganj area . He used to work as a manager of a garment factory in Narayanganj.
According to the family of the deceased, Bipul was chatting with his relatives on the rooftop of the five-storey building.
At one stage, he fell down while watching a video on YouTube on his mobile.
Later, Bipul was rushed to the 250-bed General Hospitalwhere he was pronounced dead by the doctors of the emergency department. Emranul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station, said Bipul had come to visit his in-laws’ house on Eid vacation. Police are investigating the incident and the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy, the OC added.
