Youth allegedly fled from the corona isolation unit of SBMCH

A youth named Riaz aged about 22 allegedly fled from the corona isolation unit of Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) on Friday.
A general diary was lodged with Barishal Kotwali Police Station in this connection on Saturday.
Dr. Bakir Hossain, Director SBMCH, acknowledging the fact, said the patient came from Tulatali under Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali and was admitted to the corona isolation unit of the hospital with symptoms like fever, cough and cold on 12 May and samples collected from his body were sent to PCR lab of the hospital on May 13.
The submission of report was due on May 15 night.
Although after receiving the test report he was found corona-negative, the hospital director added.
However, after contacting with the patient over mobile phone, he confessed that he fled from the hospital due to unhealthy and panic creating environment and lack of medicare there.
He also confessing his fault said that local administration already lockdowned his home and surrounding areas.
