Dr S A Sobhan, younger brother of former Political Adviser to the Prime Minister and General Secretary of Bangabandhu Parishad S A Malek, died at BIRDEM General Hospital in the capital on Friday morning. He was 78.
He was suffering from heart disease and pneumonia, family sources said.
He left behind a son, four daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Dr Sobhan was involved in Awami League (AL) politics for a long time. He was the former Vice-President of Rajbari unit AL.
