UNB, Cox’s Bazar :
A young man drowned while bathing in the Bay of Bengal at Sugandha point here on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ali Arafat, 20, son of Mohammad Ali, hailing from Amtola in Halishahar, Chattogram.
Arafat along with his 4-5 friends went to bathe in the sea around 12:30am, said Md Afruzur Haque Tutul, additional superintendent of Cox’s Bazar police.
At one stage, he was washed away in the sea.
After his recuse by the friends, Arafat was taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead, the police official said.
