Yet another Jamaat hartal on Thursday

UNB, Dhaka :Jamaat-e-Islami on Sunday called a 24-hour countrywide hartal for Thursday protesting the death sentence of its policymaker Mir Quasem Ali for war crimes.In a statement the party said the 24-hour shutdown will start from 6 am Thursday.The International Crimes Tribunal-2 on Sunday sentenced Jamaat-e-Islami policymaker Mir Quasem Ali to death for committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.The second phase of Jamaat enforced countrywide 72-hour hartal protesting its ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami’s death sentence for his crimes during the Liberation War, is progressing peacefully on (Sunday).The 48-hour shutdown will end at 6am on Tuesday.
