Chittagong Bureau : Yellow panel- progressive teachers panel belonging to Bengali nationalism with spirit of liberation war bags all 11 posts including six executive members of Chittagong University Teachers Association executive committee . The CUTA election was held on Sunday. Prof. Benu Kumar Dey and Prof.Mustafizur Rahman Siddiqui elected President and the General Secretary respectively. The casting of vote begins from 9 am and continued upto 1.30 pm. Election commissioner Prof. Md. Mohiuddin declared the result after counting . Other elected office bearers are Prof. Jasimuddin as vice president, Prof. Md. Towhid Hossain as Treasurer, Prof. HM Kamrul Hasan as joint secretry.Vice chancellor of the university Prof. Md. Anowarul Azim Arif felicitated the newly elected CUTA leaders for landslide victory . Three panels contested the election this year . The contesting panels are while panel, green panel and yellow panel.
