Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 70,000 pieces of Yaba tablets worth Tk 2.10 crore from near the Naf River at Baraitali in Teknaf upazila early Sunday.
Tipped off, a BGB team, led by its company commander Subedar M Zakaria, conducted a drive in the area around 4:30am and recovered the Yaba tablets in an abandoned condition, commanding
officer of the BGB-42 battalion Lt. Col Abu Jar Al Zahid said. However, there was no arrest as the drug smugglers managed to flee the scene, he said.
