Yaba trader taken 5-day remand

A court in Chattogram granted 5 days remand to a drug peddler Abul Hashem alias Shaheen on Friday.
Additional chief metropolitan magistrate Mohiuddin Murad pronounced the remand against the demand of 10 days remand prayed by Police Bureau of Investigation.
Mentionable that in an re-investigation of a yaba case in connection with the trafficking of yabas in the picnic bus , PBI arrested one Abul Kashem recently. Abul Kashem was detained at Cox’s Bazar on December 2 last who was brought in Chattogram .
PBI sources said Kashem was a top terror and yaba god father in Ramu, coxsbazar. He is a basically Myanmar citizen but identified as Bangladesh national according to NID. Sources said his father Nabi Hossain came in Cox’sBazar zone from Myanmar 40 years ago and was permanently residing in the area. Father of Kashem and his brother shahjahan are Saudi expatriate .
Mentionable that 23 kg yaba was seized from a picnic bus at Shah Amanat Bridge area in February this year and case filed accusing 8 persons including accused Abul Kashem by RAB-7 forces .
Finally the names of Kashem and Raju was dropped from the charge sheet by RAB due non-availability of their correct address and locations.
The court did not accept the charge sheet which later transferred to PBI , sources said.
