Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested at least 96 people with firearms, yaba, liquor and hemp, in a series of overnight drives conducted in different areas in the city during the last 24 hours.
A total of 4,245 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets, 80 Kilograms of liquor, 500 grams hemp, one single barrel gun, two cartridges and 4,321 pieces biometric sim were seized during the drive.
A press release of CMP press wing said the 96 people were held during overnight raid from 16 Thanas of the port city.A total of 12 cases were filed with respective police stations in this connection.
