The World Women’s Chess Championship began on Friday in Iran’s capital Tehran.
WIM Shamima Akter Liza is participating in the event. She got the chance to participate in the World Women’s Chess Championship as Asian Zone 3.2 Women’s champions for the year 2015.
A total of 64 selected women’s players from all over the world are participating in the Knockout system.
The games of the championship will start from today ( Saturday) with WIM Liza will play against GM Dronavalli Harika of India.WIM Liza will play two games against GM Harika and she needs to beat GM Harika to qualify in the 2nd round.
