Kishoreganj dstrict administration arranged a discussion, colourfull rally, cultural function and posturing marking the World Tourism Day- 2015.
A discussion meeting on “One Billion Tourists, One Billion Opportunities” was held at local collectorate conference room on Sunday afternoon.
Deputy Commissioner GSM Zafurullah presided over the discussion.
It was addressed among others by ADC (Education & ICT) Golam Md. Bhuiyan, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Women Chamber Leader Bilkis Begum, Advocate Gazi Enayetur Rahman, Journalist Ashraful islam, Engineer Md. Akhteruzzaman of W.D.B, Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed and Jail Super Md. Bazlur Rashid. A colourfull rally was brought our in the town led by D.C GSM Jafurullah.
Gouripur ( Mymensingh ) Correspondent adds: The World Tourism Day was observed in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district in a befitting manner on Sunday aiming to raise awareness among the people about the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.
Marking the Day, Creative Association, ACECC Association, Electoral Committee for Birangana Sakhina Silver Pen Award, different tour operators and other organisations chalked out various programmes including colourful rally and discussion meetings
`Tourism-Celebrating Diversity’ was the theme of the day, fixed by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO),
