A 41-year-old man named Moniru Islam was hacked to death on the Sylhet-Airport road.
The incident took place on Saturday (June 4) at around 9:30 pm in the Malnichhara tea garden area near the main road adjacent to Ragib Ali’s bungalow Airport road Sylhet.
The deceased was the owner of Khasdabir Workshop in the city. He is the son of Nurul Miah of Nayabazar area under Airport Police Station.
Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) Deputy Commissioner (North) Azbahar Ali Sheikh confirmed the news.
According to local sources, during the incident, the miscreants hacked him to death and left him at the spot. Upon receiving the news, the police came to the spot around 10 pm.
