Workshop on ophthalmology care for Rohingyas held at Cox’s Bazar

Under the auspices of International Eye Care Charitable Organisation -Orbis and the Directorate of Health Bangladesh joinitly organised two day long workshop on Ophthalmology care for Rohingya refugees at Ukhia Health Complex centre in Cox’s Bazar begins on December 1 7 last.
Ophthalmology physicians from Health Directorate, Care Bangladesh, Save the Children, International Federation of Redcross and Red Crescent society participated the workshops.
A total of 75 Ophthalmology physicians attended the workshop. Additional Director General of Health and country Chairperson of APB, Bangladesh chapter Prof. AHM Enayet Hossain graced the concluding session as chief guest. Among others, civil surgeon of Cox’s Bazar Md.Abdul Matin, Director of National Opthalmology Institute Dr. Ferdousi, Dr Jahirul Islam, Country Director of Orbis Dr.Munir Ahmed, Project Manager Md. Iqbal and a number of NGO officials were present on the occasion, chattogram chapter sources said.
