Cabinet Secretary N M Ziaul Alam has underscored the need for building a social safety wall for making the country hunger and poverty free.
Addressing the three days long Workshop on “National Social Safety Policy” for the Upazila Nirbahai Officers (UNO) of Chittagong division at Chittagong Circuit House from August 1 to 3 as chief guest, Alam said the incumbent government is implementing the “National Social Safety Policy” now.
The ministries, government officials and concerned others are working in this regard. “We have to make Bangladesh hunger and poverty free one.” Speaking at the closing function he also said that the government officials should work to implement the government policy sincerely. Divisional commissioner of Chitta-gong Ruhul Amin chaired the closing ceremony.
Additional Cabinet Secretary A K M Mohiuddin addressed the function as special guest. Deputy Secretary Mohammad Ashfaqul Amin Mukut presented the multi-media presentation at the workshop.
Among others, Additional Divisional Commissioners of Chitta-gong Shankar Ranjan Shaha and Sayeda Sarwar Jahan, Divisional Director of LGRD Depok Chakraborti, Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mohammad Zillur Rahman Chowdhury also addressed the function.
