Workshop on DEPB ends in Rangamati

A three-day-long workshop on ‘District Evidence-Based Planning and Budgeting (DEPB)’ ended at Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board conference room on Wednesday.
Local Civil Surgeon (CS) Office with the support of UNICEF and UNFPA organised the programme.
Earlier, Chairman of Rangamati Hill District Council Briso Ketu Chakma inaugurated the workshop on Monday as chief guest, while Deputy Commissioner AKM Mamunur Rashid and Director of Chittagong Divisional Health Department Dr. AM Mojibul Haque was present at the programme as special guests.Chaired by CS Dr Shahid Talukder, the workshop was addressed, among others, by Deputy Director of Family Planning Division, Rangamati Begum Shahnewaz, UNICEF representative Dr. Sharmin Sultana, Chairman of Rangamati Sadar Upazila Parishad Arun Kanti Chakma, and Sadar Upazila Health Officer Dr. Binod Shekhar Chakma.All upazila parishad chairmen of Rangamati, upazila health officers, upazila family planning officers, and senior staff nurses were also present at the workshop.
