Workshop on ‘Climate Tech Centre and Network’ held at BUET

The Centre for Energy Studies, Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, Japan jointly organized a day-long capacity building workshop on “Climate Technology Center and Network (CTCN)” at Council Bhaban, BUET on Sunday.
The objective of the workshop and to raise the awareness among different organization about the opportunities provided by the Climate Technology Center and Network and to identify elements for technological adaptation for selected Japanese low-carbon technologies in Bangladesh.
Prof. Khaleda Ekram, Vice-Chancellor, BUET was present as the chief guest and inaugurated the workshop. Raisul Alam Mondal, Director General Department of Environment was present as the guest of honour. Prof. Dr. Aminul Hoque, Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BUET and Dr. M. Asaduzzaman, Research Director, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) were present as the special guests in the session.
