Workshop on ‘Burn & Hand Surgery’ held at DCMC

The 3-day workshop on ‘Burn and Hand Surgery’ was concluded in Mansur Gallery of Dhaka Community Medical College (DCMC) on Wednesday.
Dr. AK Lutful Kabir, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy of Dhaka University, was present as the chief guest in the programme. Dr. Kabir In his speech, praised for organizing the workshop.
The quality of our medical service will be enriched if more and more quality improving workshops will be held like this.
The three-day workshop was organized jointly by Dhaka Community Medical College and Interplast, Australia.
Three volunteers from the Interplast provided training as resource persons in this workshop.
28 physiotherapist and occupational therapists from Dhaka Community Hospital, Dhaka Medical College, and ASF (Acid Survivors Foundation) participated in the workshop.
Professor Quazi Quamruzzaman, Chairman of Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCHT) inaugurated the workshop on June 17. In his speech he mentioned about the importance of such international workshops and said that DCHT has always been taking part in the process of action, implementation, assistance and patronize such training program for improvement medical services in our country.
 It may be mentioned that, since 2004, Interplast, Australia has completed 40 programmes in Bangladesh in cooperation with DCHT and other organizations. DCHT and Interplast will organize such training programmes in future. Interested therapists from different organizations can participate these programmes.
