The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Cumilla University (CuU) initiated a day long workshop titled ‘Quality and Quality Assurance of Education’ in the virtual classroom of the university recently.
Prof Dr Emran Kabir chowdhuy, Vice Chancellor of CuU was the chief guest at the inaugural session. The workshop was presided over by Prof Dr Biswajit Chandra Dev whereas Dr Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan, Director of IQAC and Dr Md. Abu Taher Register of the University were present as special guests.
In the inaugural speech, the Vice Chancellor said, “The online system has been started in all the places of Education Ministry and UGC; we have to go to that capability with the collaboration of the UGC and the Education Ministry”.
Dr Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan provided guidance to increase the quality of higher education, educational environment in the institution, moral values and research in the day-to-day workshop. He also said that UGC has taken appropriate initiatives to implement these plans.
Dr Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan also said quality education has been made for the purpose of sustainable development (SDG) 17 aims at 4th goal, so that everyone should be prepared to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all by 2030 and to create opportunities for lifelong education.
Among others, Dr Banani Biswas, IQS Additional Director; Dr Kazi Mohammad Kamal Uddin, Proctor of the University, Dean of different faculties, Chairman of departments, Head of administrative departments, hall provosts and various advisers were also present there.
