Workers of the APS Pearls Ltd of Chittagong export processing zone area staged demonstration and vandalized the factory in the port city yesterday morning demanding their salaries and allowances of last month. They staged demonstration at 10:30am.
CEPZ Thana Sub-Inspector Alamgir Hossain told that we have took position on the spot, the situation is under control of police. Discussions are underway between the workers and the factory owners for resolving the unwanted salary issue, he added.
