Workers Party for fair probe into N’ganj murders

Workers Party of Bangladesh demanded a fair investigation into the abduction and killing of seven people,
including, Narayanganj city panel mayor Nazrul Islam and lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker.
The party leaders and activists held a rally near Bahadur Shah Park at Old Dhaka protesting the growing incidents of abduction and killing across the country and seeking fair probe into the seven murders in Narayanganj.
Later, they handed over a memorandum to the deputy commissioner of Dhaka district Yusuf Haroon.
Presidents and general secretaries of 54 districts committees of the party sent the memorandum to the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioners of their respective districts across the country to press home their demand.
They also demanded an immediate end to kidnappings, forced disappearances, secret killings and extortion through the memorandum.
In the memorandum, the party leaders also expressed concern over the growing incidents of abductions and secret killings across the country in recent times.
Addressing the rally, Workers Party general secretary Fazle Hossain Badsha said kidnappings, extortion and secret killings have destabilised the country.
