One worker was killed after falling down from a ship at a ship breaking yard in Sitakunda upazila of the district early on Monday.
The victim was identified as Rajon, 30, a worker of KR Recycling Shipyard. He was from Bkoteyarpara village of Sitakunda upazila.
Rajon was critically injured as he fell down from a ship while he was working at the ship breaking yard around 4.30am , sources said.
He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead, said Nayek HamidurRahman of CMCH police outpost.
