The 10th Month-long International Women’s SME Exposition Bangladesh-2016 will kick off in the port city from November 5 (Saturday).
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, MP, will formally inaugurate the SME expo being held under the auspices of Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CWCCI).
State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Jabed and Chittagong city mayor AJM Nasir Uddin will also be present at the inaugural ceremony to be held at the exposition venue Polo Ground filed at 3pm.
This was disclosed by CWCCI director and convenor of the exposition committee Abida Mostafa at a press conference at Chittagong Press Club this afternoon.
The CWCCI director in her written statement informed that in addition to brightening the image of the port city in international forums as city of trade and investment, the exposition would definitely help to introduce different goods made by women and create a better market home and abroad for those goods.
Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), SME Foundation, Jute Diversification Promotion Centre and Bangladesh Bank are also cooperating the CWCCI in arranging the exposition.
