Women in music don’t need to ‘step up’: Pink slams Grammys head

Singer Pink has criticised Recording Academy president Neil Portnow for his comments on lack of women winners at the recently-concluded Grammy Awards. Remarking on only two female artistes Alessia Cara and Rihanna bagging the golden gramophone, the Grammys head had said women in the music industry need to ‘step up.’ Pink shared a handwritten note on Twitter, in which she called out Portnow saying “women have been stepping since the beginning of time”.
