Police recovered the body of a women from Tentulia village in Gafargaon upazila and sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy on Wednesday.
Deceased was Parvin Akter, 45,wife of Liton Mia of the same area. Deceased brother Nizam Uddin said that Liton Mia was married to his sister Parveen 30 years ago. They have three children.
I heard the news of my sister’s death on Wednesday morning from the neighbors of my sister’s husband’s house. He came here and found out that hissister had died on Tuesday night.
When he went to see sister’s body her husband Liton Mia came running
with a stick. We suspect this. The police came and took the body.
Gafargaon Police Station OC (Investigation) Anwar Hossain said the body was rushed to the spot after receiving information that the body was being prepared for burial. The body was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
He also said that further action would be taken on the basis of autopsy.
