A woman was stabbed allegedly by Abdullah- Al- Masum, secretary, Jessore over extra marital affairs on Thursday.
The woman Srabani Roy, 30, tenant of Dr Ashraf Hossain of Khandhar Road in Jessore town.
The wounded, who is undergoing treatment at Jessore General Hospital, told that the municipal secretary stabbed her at her residence as she denied obscene proposal on Thursday morning.
The municipal secretary, Abdullah- Al- Mecum, however, denied the allegation saying that he did not do the act.
Confirming the information, Rashed Abbas Raj, councilor, Jessore Municipality told he was informed by the locals.
Mustafizur Rahman Musta, acting mayor, Jessore Municipality, dined to comment about the incident.
The victims told that she was rushed to the hospital hearing her hue and cry being stabbed by the municipal secretary.
Abdul Bashar, officer in-charge (investigation), told that he was not aware of the matter.
