A woman was killed in a road accident at Chowmuhoni Karnaphuli Bazar under Double Mooring thana on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Roksana Akter, 38, hailed from the same area. Sub-Inspector (SI) of Double Mooring Police Station Anurada said a speedy micro-bus hit her when he was walking on the road at around 7:00 am, leaving her died on the spot.
Driver of the micro bus, however, managed to flee away, the SI added. Police recovered the body.
