A woman was crushed to death under an oil tanker in Mowchak area of the city on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Mahmuda Begum,35, wife of Abu Bakar, hailing from Bhaberchar village in Gosairhat upazila of Shariatpur district.
Witnesses said the oil tanker hit the woman in the area around 10.00am while she was walking beside the road, leaving her critically injured.
Later, she was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared her dead.
