A woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her brother-in-law over a family feud at High Level Road of Lalkhanbazar under Khulshi thana of the port city Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Gulzer Begum Ruma, 38, wife of Younus Khan.
Police in cooperation with the locals detained the victim’s brother-in-law Mohammad Yakub, 45, from the place of occurrence.
Police said Yunus’s younger brother Yakub attacked Ruma with a sharp weapon following a family feud at around 9.30 am today. He stabbed Ruma on her neck, leaving her critically injured.
