An elderly woman, who was injured when a roof collapsed on him in Uttar Panghashia village of Dhumki upazila on Saturday, died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Kalpana Rani Das, 70, haling from Bhola district.
Md Hafizur Rahman, upazila nirbahi officer of Dhumki upazila, said Kalpona Rani received injuries on Saturday morning at her daughter’s house in the village as the roof of a house collapsed on her during the cyclonic storm ‘Roanu’.
Later she was admitted at Barisal Medical College Hospital.
As her condition was deteriorated, she was being shifted to DMCH, but
she died on the way to the hospital on Sunday afternoon.
