Detectives arrested a woman for her suspected link to the killing of Rajshahi University Professor Shafiul Islam from Meherchandi area in the city on Friday.
The arrested was identified as Nasrin Akter Reshma, wife of Abdus Samad Pintu, who is now behind the bar for his suspected involvement in the killing. Iftekhayer Alam, assistant commissioner of Rajshahi DB police, said the detectives arrested Reshma, a section officer of RU, from the area around 12:30 pm.
On November 15, 2014, Sociology Department teacher Prof Shafiul Islam was stabbed by some unknown assailants on his way home at Chouddapai near the RU campus.
