Husband strangled a housewife to death in Bagdanga village in Sadar upazila of Jashore district on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Ripa Khatun 20 wife of Imran Hossain of the same village and the daughter of Musa from Bishori village of Jhikargacha upazila.
Informed by villagers, police recovered Ripa Khatun ‘s body from a paddy field in the village.
Victims aunty Khuku Begum, said Imran married Ripa khatun about 10-year ago she has a seven-year-old son named Rifat. When Imran use to work in a truck, his character became bad. Imran married another girl ten days ago. Last night, Imran strangled to death his wife Rupa khatun in this incident at 11 pm . Later the body left behind the Paddy field.
Jashore Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Apurba Hassan, said “We found the body lying on the throat prostrate.” She maybe strangled to death. It is suspected that husband Imran was involved in the murder. Still, the police are investigating the matter seriously.
A case was filed in this connection.
