Earlier, a man along with the woman and the baby came to Al Shaheen Hotel around 4:00 am on Sunday for staying a night there, said the police official quoting the hotel authorities.
“But around 11:30 pm on the fateful night, an attendant of the hotel found the Room No.16 on the fourth floor of the hotel locked from outside and a baby was crying inside. Immediately they called the Motijheel police,” he said.
A police team broke open the door and found the body of the woman, said police adding that she might have been strangulated sometime after they had come to the hotel room.
