A youth died after a pickup van hit him in Bhatiary area of Dhaka-Chattogram Highway under Sitakunda Upazila early Wednesday.
The youth was identified as Rabiul Islam Ledu, 25, son of Saleh Ahmed, hailed from Rajakhali area under Baklia thana in the city.
A speeding pickup van ran over Ledu in Bhatiary area while he was returning to his residence after visiting the Boro Aulia shrine on the occasion of holy Shab-e-Barat, said Alauddin Talukder, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Chittagong Medical College Police Outpost.He was rushed to CMCH, where the attending doctors declared him dead.
