A woman reportedly committed suicide after stabbing her house-owner’s wife in Baluchora area under Bayazid Bostami thana in the port city on Thursday (August 23).The deceased was identified as Liza, 34.
“Liza indiscriminately stabbed Antora with knife at the latter’s residence, to take revenge, in the afternoon.
Later, she committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan, at her own room,” Bayazid Bostami Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ataur Rahman told the media.
Injured Antora Barua, 26, is wife of Uttam Barua.Liza was a tenant at the couple’s house.
Efforts are on to reveal reasons behind the incident, added the OC.
