UNB, Patuakhali :
A woman was beaten to death allegedly by her husband, co-wife and two step sons at Kanai Mridha Guchchho village in Kalapara upazila on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Kulsum Begum, 20, wife of Kefayet Ullah Munsi, a resident of the village.
Quoting family members, police said Kefayet Ullah Munsi married Kulsum three years ago.
After marriage, Kulsum lived in her father’s house.
On Monday night, Kefayet Ullah called for Kulsum, and the latter along with her father went to the former’s house.
At one stage, Kefayet, his first wife Halima and his tow sons Rakibul and Nayem beat up Kulsum mercilessly, leaving her dead on the spot.
