President Parade of Winter Term-2016 marking the commissioning of Flight Cadet Course Direct Entry-2016B of Bangladesh Air Force was held in Jessore at the BAFAcademy on Thursday. Air Chief Marshal Abu Esrar reviewed the smartly turned-out parade and took salute at the impressive march past as the chief guest.
He handed over trophies and certificates among the Flight Cadets. Flight Cadet Md Kutub Uddin received “Chief of Air Staff’s Trophy” for his best all round performance in Flight Cadet Course and Flight Cadet Mohammad Toufiqul Islam Shifat received “Commandant’s Trophy” for best performance in General Service Training. Number 02 Squadron was adjudged the Champion Squadron for Winter Term and was handed over with Academy Colour, says a Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) media release. Addressing the Flight Cadets the Chief of Air Staff said “It is indeed a matter of great fortune that you have chosen a challenging career in Bangladesh Air Force of your own accord. “It is the testimony of your personal commitment and patriotism to the nation. On this day I would like to assure all of you that Bangladesh Air Force is determined to prepare you as proficient and skillful officers by imparting the best training,” he said. A total of 40 Flight Cadets including four female cadets were commissioned this time.
Flight Cadet Sergeant Ahmad Musa commanded the parade.
On completion of parade a spectacular Fly Past involving all types of aircraft of BangladeshAirForceAcademy was displayed. Among others, Diplomats from different countries, High Military officials of Army, Navy and Air Force, invited High Civil Officials and guardians of the graduating cadets were present on the occasion.
