Winners of the ‘Book Reading Competition, 2017’ paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on the sixth instant at the latter’s office on the campus.
The Book Reading Competition-2017 is a project of the British Council.
This year students of Udayan Higher Secondary School won the competition.
Udayan School and College Principal Dr Ummeh Salema Begum, teacher and coordinator of the competition Khondoker Nasrin, Khadiza Jahan Mukta and Razia Sultana, among others, were present.
A total of 400 students took part in the book reading competition. Based on their merit, winners of the competition were given books, certificates and membership cards of British Council.
