Windies delegates visit ZACS in Ctg

The two-member delegate of Cricket West Indies visited the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) on Tuesday. The Windies delegate inspected the condition of ZACS as part of their assessment for the upcoming West Indies-Bangladesh Cricket series scheduled to be held at the different venues in Bangladesh in January-February.
The two delegates are- Dr Akshai Mansingh , who is a director and medical team member of the Cricket West Indies and also the ICC medical team and the other is Paul Sloway , who is the security and safety manager of Cricket West Indies. The West Indies Cricket team are scheduled to play three Tests, three ODIs and two T20Is against Bangladesh Cricket team in January-February next year.
The full-fledged series between Bangladesh and West Indies has not yet finalized. The fate of the series depends on the report from the assessment of the two-member delegate of of Cricket West Indies. The delegates of Cricket West Indies arrived in Bangladesh on November 28 to inspect the conditions, facilities and steps have taken by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). BCB has already created a bio-secure bubble environment ahead of the ensuing series.
The two delegates of Cricket West Indies inspected the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur on November 28.
The cricket matches between Bangladesh and West Indies are scheduled to be held at the SBNCS in Dhaka and ZACS in Chattogram.
