A wild elephant was found dead at Gandhigaon in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur district on Tuesday morning.
Bit officer of Gozni forest department Md Abdur Rafiq said the people of north Gandhigoan saw the body of wild elephant lying on the ground. He added that it is about seven years old.
Jhenaigati Upazila Livestock Officer Dipok Kumar said the dead body of the elephant will earthen after autopsy and added that the cause of death will know after autopsy.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Rubel Mahmud visited the spot.
