A housewife was strangulated to death allegedly by his husband over family feud in Ishwarganj upazila on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Mursheda Aktar, 25, wife of Jahirul Islam of Mohespur village in the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Ishwarganj Police Station Badrul Alal said the couple was locked in an argument over family matters and at one stage Jahirul strangulated his wife to death around 8 am and fled the scene.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he said.
